Something new.

More work into the Harbourside Gallery. This time knitted felted bags - all have a ceramic button, so they could be labelled mixed media! The black and turquoise is handspun wool from Marg's (Abbie's friend) alpacas from the Adelaide Hills - so soft and yummy. Blue is dyed - the alpacas are not turquoise! Picture of the alpacas too.
The multicoloured bag was my first attempt, and is made from all the bits of wool that have been around for years... probably about 20 years for some of them. Found one colour was not wool after the felting... oops,  but I like the effect of one colour not felting.
The blue button is made from potash feldspar, with cobalt oxide. It does not behave like clay, but flat work, and using stamps, moulds works well with it. I love the fired effect, it's like quartz stone, and glistens.
