Workshops - Small Porcelain Objects

Make beautiful decorated and printed bowls, plates, buttons and vases

Saturday 5^th May, 9.30am to 3.30pm, and Saturday 12^th May 9.30am to 12.30pm.

A one and a half day workshop in which you can make several small objects such as vases, bowls, buttons, plates, using a range of techniques that involve plaster moulds and slabs and latex.

During the first workshop you will design and cut a plaster mould with will form the basis of a latex mould to carry a design on bowls or vases. Slabs of porcelain clay will be printed using the design. Another technique will use designs on plaster batts, and poured slip to create coloured slabs. The objects will be fired during the week, and you will finish off the decoration with underglazes and glaze during the following workshop. They will be ready to be collected the following Saturday (19^th May).

There are several excellent cafes nearby or BYO morning tea and lunch. Cost $100 plus $20 material costs.
